The CR-22 is an improved modification on the CR-12. It makes use of the X-wing engine rack in addition to the Y-wing’s engine pylons. The benefit is a higher space speed with better maneuverability. Conversion plans are available from the Bureau of Ships and Services, scandoc 23d33/ae222RC. The guns on the RC-22 are the front mount Y-wing guns from the cockpit. Because of placement, they have only limited aiming range. Fire control is therefore recuded on these guns. A single Proton Torpedo Launcher has been salvaged to give this starfighter a considerable punch over most other ‘uglies.’
