They say that if you really must fly an Ugly, that this is the one to fly. The S2 is considered the greatest balance of firepower, and ancillary systems. It maintains reasonable hull, speed, and maneuverability despite the fact that it is a ship rebuilt from the scraps of other ships. Where this ship makes the greatest sacrifice is in fire control. In an effort to keep the power transfers clean and to make room in the rear hull for mounting the wing structure, the targeting system had to be relocated and reduced in size, thus reducing its effectiveness.
