The Dread Imperative is the ship the players in my campaign use. These are the members of Dread Squad. Captain Thadius Black, Lt. Kelton Lazarus Jaffries, Leron "Boom-Boom" Ellis, Gurney Begelmann, Blythe Telsyna, Kourok (Wookie), Kyme Winsome, Shayde Hellfire, "Hot-Tub" Jonny Steele, Peth Amboy, Anathema, J-39', R2-A6.The D.I as she is affectionately called has been around since the characters ran in Strikeforce Shantipole some 8 years ago (player time). She has undergone a number of modifications by the crew which include systems and weapons upgrades, a massive repair to one of the landing gear pylons and numerous cabin increases to accomodate the large squadron size.
She is a well maintained ship, and although she is not the most powerful or quickest light freighter in the galaxy, she is in near perfect working order at all times. Because she is of Mon Calamari design, she has an additional 2D in shields, a backup life suport system and backup sensor package
This ship appeared in a slightly different incarnation in the WEG product Supernova for the "Infiltration" adventure I wrote for them back in I believe it was 1993. They changed the name to Black Obsession, but I manage to name another ship used in the adventure after the D.I.
