Capsule: The Nerf Herder was orginally used at the Derilyn Ordinance Orbital Spacedocks in the Elrood Sector to help move large hunks of various starships that had floated away as well as bringing in damaged smaller ships with its tractor beam. Before it was bought by D.O.O.S. it had belonged to Jolo Barrant who ran guns throughout the Corporate Sector. During his adventures he added the laser cannons and increased the backup hyperdrive. After he got caught, it was impounded and sold to D.O.O.S. where it was upgraded with a medium sized tractor beam and used by various personel in the drydocks. After some personel strikes, and bomb threats, it began to lose its view in the people of safety and eventually stopped getting funds. To help slow its uneveitable bankruptcy they sold most of their craft including the Nerf Herder which ended up in the hands of Drex Furlow.
Game Notes: hidden in the starboard maintenance crawlway behind a panel are some hidden stormtrooper blaster rifles, which require a moderate search roll in with a light source, or a very difficult roll to find in the normal shadows.
When D.O.O.S. installed the tractor beam they found that, the power core couldn't maintain all the systems at once, so whenever the tractor beam is used, the quad laser cannon shuts off for 1D turn, unless another person makes a moderate starship repair roll, or an easy computer programming roll, and makes a different system shut down.
The alluvial dampers on the hyperdrive were misconfigured when the better back-up hyperdrive was installed, so every time a jump is made roll 1D, if you roll a 1 or a 6 then the backup hyperdrive kicks in instead of the regular making the trip twice as long.
