Capsule: Odok Blas was a gambler by profession but a loser by trade. He has always possessed a gushing and seeming ingenuine quality to his personality, which has worked to his disadvantage through his entire career. Although he has always been a straight gambler, never employing electronic means of cheating, he has continually been accused of cheating during games. His large toothy smile, slick black hair and relaxed attitude make most people just a little uneasy, as if they are being conned by a consumate grifter, but they don't know exactly how he is conning them.

At one point Odok had gotten himself into a particularly tigh situation. He had annoyed a regional governor during a private game at the governor's mansion by winning the governor's personal yacht in a sabaac game. Although no evidence was ever uncovered to prove that Odok had cheated (he had not), Odok was considered extremely unwelcome in the Parmic sector and decided to move on. It was about this time that Odok ran into Drex Furlow.

Odok had known Drex and The Astounding Biz through the sabaac tournaments and the three of them had always gotten along well. When Odok heard that The Astounding Biz had been killed, he was saddened by the news. But Odok had a very identifyable luxury yacht on his hands and was looking to sell it off for some fast cash. Drex was already dealing in starships at this point, and helped Odok get top credit for his starship. Shortly after, Drex made Odok an irrestible proposition.

Drex was setting up a starship sales lot, and needed a Human front man to help run things and also to help keep the Empire from causing too many troubles. In exchange for playing Drex Furlow, Odok would get a place to stay, a steady salary, and a comission on all the ship sales made by the stockyard, and all he had to do was be himself.

Odok signed on and was a very fast study in the art of starship sales. He has adapted to the persona of the slick used starship saleman and plays the part to perfection. Odok is utterly loyal to Drex who helped him out during his troubles, and would never bring harm to Drex or anyone else at the Stockyard.
