CAPSULE:

YT-1300's have been considered the work horses of the galaxy for many years, and are easy to modify, The Medic is a heavily modified version of this craft. They was originally owned by the private ambulance company; 'Rim Emergency Medical Transport Service' . These ships catered to the outer rim territories, where hospitals were few and far between. The cargo area hs been retooled and converted into medical testament ward. Features include a fully functioning Bacta Tank, and a Two-One-Bee medical droid, 6 surgery tables, and various other items found in many emergency rooms. The "Medic" is capable of supporting up to 8 severely wounded individuals or 20 moderately wounded individuals.

Some of these ships can still be seen in service in the outer rims. The forward mandibles have been converted into crew quarters and storage compartments. Smillin Drex has acquired a few of these ships. The Bacta tank and 2-1-b droid are onboard and fully functional, but all other supplies have been transferred to other medical ships, or hospitals; and need to be replaced. The laser cannons standard on all YT-1300's have been replaced with Ion Cannons, to provide some defensive measures, with out injuring anybody. The engines have been given a minor upgrade when R.E.M.T.S. bought them, allowing them to better serve their patients.
